Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the Dengue virus and transmitted by the mosquito vector of the species Aedes aegypti or Aedes albopictus. DHF cases in Kupang City in 2020 recorded 821 cases with 8 deaths (Case Fatality Rate= CFR 0.9%), in 2021 there were 654 cases recorded with 3 deaths (CFR 0.4%), and in 2022 there were 455 cases with 1 death (CFR=0.2%). Poor community action in carrying out prevention efforts. The purpose of this study was to determine the participatory actions of housewives in controlling Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). In this study, researchers used a descriptive epidemiological research type, the research variables were the act of draining water reservoirs, closing water reservoirs, removing or recycling used goods, hanging clothes in the house and using mosquito nets while sleeping. The data processing method uses the master table. The results of the data analysis show the act of depleting the shelter., respondents in the good category, namely 54 respondents (54%) and in the bad category, namely 46 respondents (46%), closed the water reservoirs, respondents in the good category, namely as many as 47 respondents (47%) and in the bad category, 53 respondents (53%), removed or recycling used goods in the good category, namely 47 respondents (47%) and in the bad category, 53 respondents (53%), removed or recycling used goods in the good category, namely 47 respondents (47%) and in the bad category, 53 respondents (53%), hanging clothes in the house, 53 respondents (53%) in the good category and 47 respondents (47%) in the bad category, using mosquito nets while sleeping, 12 respondents (12%) in the good category and 88 respondents (88%) in the bad category.It can be concluded that the good actions of housewives in draining the water reservoirs and the actions of hanging clothes in the house are good categories, the actions of closing the water reservoirs, removing or recycling used items and actions of using abatement are included in the bad category. The suggestion given to subsequent researchers is to investigate further with additional variables such as employment, economic status, and larval examination to improve the prevention of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever.
