Abstract

OVERVIEW OF THE CLEAN WATER SERVICE SYSTEM KUPANG CITY PDAM AT RT 005 RW 002 SOUTH OESAPA VILLAGE Thomas C Janggur, Ferry William Frangky Wangsir *) *) Sanitation Study Program of the Ministry of Health, Kupang Health Polytechnic This research aims to determine the physical quality and physical condition of pipes in RT/RW 005/002 South Oesapa Village, Kupang City, by observing a population of 45 points. Based on the random sampling method, 31 samples were selected which were then studied. This research used the parameters of color, smell, taste and pH of water to assess the physical quality of clean water. Data collection methods involve direct observation and the use of tools such as clear glass bottles and litmus paper. Data processing is carried out to measure the risk of contamination in piping facilities and the physical quality of water. The research results show that the physical quality of water in RT/RW 005/002 Oesapa Selatan Subdistrict meets the requirements based on four main parameters, namely color, smell, taste and pH. The condition of the piping facilities is classified as low and medium risk of contamination, with details of 11 targets being included in the low contamination risk level while the other 20 are classified as being in the medium contamination risk level. No facilities were found with a high or very high risk of contamination.
